(1) Victim Advocate and (1) Bilingual Victim Advocate


(1) Victim Advocate and (1) Bilingual Victim Advocate: to perform trauma-based advocacy with victims and survivors of domestic violence who are accessing Protective Orders or other domestic violence related services to enhance their safety.  The VA/BVA supports victims and survivors by assisting with the application process, explaining court processes, and accompanying applicants to court. The Victim Advocate works with survivors in ongoing individualized safety planning while offering continued advocacy to facilitate their access to other assistance for legal, immigration, health care, or housing needs.  The VA also directs survivors to education resources, victims compensation benefits and resources to address work or financial needs. The Bilingual Victim Advocate provides services from a culturally sensitive perspective.

Salary: $32,000/$32,500
Bachelor’s degree Social Work, Gender/Women's Studies or related field  
Three years experience working directly w/victims and survivors of domestic violence and their children, or the equivalent Verbal and written fluency required for bilingual position
