Safe Nest's Work
Established in 1977, Safe Nest is Clark County's largest and most comprehensive agency devoted solely to domestic violence issues. Services include shelters in confidential locations, a 24-hour Crisis Hotline, counseling, victim advocacy, prevention and community education.
Who does Safe Nest serve?
- Battered women, adolescents and children
- Male and female perpetrators/batterers
- Over 300,000 men, women and children have been assisted by Safe Nest since 1978
- 70 percent of children in Safe Nest's shelter are preschool age or younger
- 80 percent of women sheltered are young mothers in their 20s and early 30s
